Content: hi there to all the american kenpoist, i would like to introduct my late (master bill parks) to the forum. who is bill parks... (master bill parks ), is a high ranking black belt, founder of the all-american kenpo karate academy in the south, who was an assistant to (sr.g.m. ed parker) & (sr.g.m. david german) foremost exponent of kenpo karate in the united states. master bill parks opened his first school with (sr.g.m. david german), master of the oriental forms of boxing and belted in judo, ju-jitsu, aikido and tai chi chuan. (master bill parks) and (sr.g.m. david german) and (sr.g.m. ed parker) chief instructor for twelve years formed one of the leading karate schools in californa and over the last seven years developed a most magic method of teaching unarmed self- defense. calling it (TAI), it acquaints the student with with all forms of self-dense---judo, karate, ju-jitsu and aikido---an interrelated method of teaching the fighting arts not limiting the student to learning only one method at a tme. master bill parks has studied under (master sea oh choi, a most revered and respected master of hapkido, kung fu, and kendo, ad jim kelly of movie fame, a black belt champion and okinawa stylist. he has trained with ron ramariz, black belt champion, sparring partner and understudy of joe lewis; 3 times international grand chamion and leading exponent of full contact professional karate matches. bob chapman, a kung-fu master from taiwan, china trained him in tai chi chuan and hsing yi and from the aikikai in los angeles , he advanced in aikido, he begin his training in the art of (sr.g.m. ed parker kenpo school in salt lake city in 1962. (master bill parks) was a judge at the two-day international karate tournament in long beach, california, the largest invitational karate tournament in the world. there , he witnessed a find demstration of korean karate by master kang rhee of memphis, tenn. master rhee showed great execution and humility, polished by years of hard work. the following year (master bill parks) was judge and grand marshall of a.a.u. karate tournaments in kansas, missouri.
